“Rice GIS” Application Enhances the Work of Thai Farmers

The Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ Department of Rice has launched an application entitled “Rice GIS” to facilitate the work of Thai farmers. Through this application, farmers are able to access geographic and environmental data from the Department of Rice at the sub-district, district and provincial level.
The application also informs farmers as to the location of the Rice Seed Center, such that farmers can better access government resources. Currently, the application has 4,931 users.
