OneMap’s SchoolQuery Function

The Straits Times, ZaoBao and 8World News reported that with the change in distance calculation from Singapore schools to homes, parents and guardians can use the SchoolQuery function on SLA’s OneMap website and mobile app to determine if their homes are within 1km or 2km of their chosen schools.
The new way of calculating the distance from a school to homes would enable more children to qualify for Primary 1 places in schools near where they live. Currently, the distance between a home and school are determined using a single reference point within the school’s original layout.
OneMap is available on both desktop and mobile platforms (Android, iOS and Huawei devices).
