Cauayan, a typhoon-prone city in the Philippines, has partnered with geospatial startup Graffiquo to use drones and digital twin software for disaster recovery planning.

According to Cauayan’s mayor, Bernard Faustino Dy, it is crucial to identify the damage caused by typhoons both quickly and accurately in order to have better planning of resources. Graffiquo’s digital twin platform converts drone images into a 3D model of the city and calculates the damage caused to houses, crops and livestock.
